A tribute to the great characters of Italian theatrical tradition: from the old Venetian merchant Pantaleone, miserly and lustful, to the servants, from the Doctor to the Captains, nobles and lovers.
The Narrative of the Show
A microcosm of characters who, amid jokes and banter, tackle fundamental social issues: the power of love, the love of power, hunger, poverty and magic, an essential element for changing their lives for the better.
In addition to honouring and reviving the tradition of the cultural phenomenon of the Commedia, the show aims to eliminate the distance between actor and spectator, encouraging direct and constant contact with the audience.
The space left for improvisation and the representation of universal human types encourages direct involvement of the audience, who recognise themselves in the characters of the Commedia. The chosen formula also includes a historical presentation in a comic key, with links to works by authors such as Shakespeare, Molière, and the Italian master Dario Fo, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
